In a heartbreaking loss on Saturday, the Texas Longhorns suffered their first defeat of the season.
The Oklahoma Sooners pulled off an upset victory over Texas, taking control of the Big 12 standings and sending the Longhorns into a bye week. However, the Sooners had another win at the game, albeit in a different kind of battle.
During the game at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, an argument broke out between two opposing fans. The Sooners’ female fan came out on top as she unleashed a series of punches and executed a takedown before law enforcement intervened.
Either this fan has had some training in fighting or she has a lot of brothers to learn from.
In the game itself, Dillon Gabriel connected with Anderson for a 3-yard touchdown in the final 15 seconds, leading 12th-ranked Oklahoma to a 34-30 victory over No. 3 Texas. This was their last match as Big 12 members at the State Fair of Texas before moving to the Southeastern Conference.
Gabriel had an impressive performance, completing 23 of 38 passes for 285 yards and rushing 14 times for 113 yards and a touchdown. On the other hand, Quinn Ewers of Texas was responsible for all three turnovers, throwing two interceptions and fumbling once. Ewers did, however, complete 31 of 37 passes for 346 yards.
