NBA commentator Mike Breen’s house suffered severe damage in a fire incident reported by TMZ Sports.
Breen’s residence in Long Island was completely ruined by a significant fire, and authorities are currently investigating the cause. Fortunately, no one was present in the house when the fire broke out.
Breen, the well-known Knicks and ESPN NBA play-by-play announcer, along with his family, lost all their belongings in the fire.
Breen, who resides with his wife and three children, experienced the heartbreaking incident. Video footage showing the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department combatting the blaze was shared with TMZ.
At 61 years old, Breen has served as the Knicks’ voice for three decades, initially calling games on WFAN radio in 1992 before transitioning to TV play-by-play at MSG.
In recognition of his contributions, the Basketball Hall of Fame bestowed upon Breen the Curt Gowdy Media Award in 2020.
