However, their engagement might not lead to marriage as Udoka is said to have had a consensual relationship with a female team staff member. The woman reportedly accused Udoka of making inappropriate comments towards her, prompting an investigation and his subsequent suspension.
Adding more fuel to the fire, there are strong rumors that a private investigator got involved after a man suspected his girlfriend of being involved with someone else. Allegedly, pictures were taken of Udoka and the woman, and the Celtics might be informed soon.

The Celtics officially suspended Udoka on Thursday night “for violations of team policies.” This announcement came less than 24 hours after The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported, based on anonymous sources, that Udoka “had engaged in an inappropriate intimate and consensual relationship with a female team member.”
Boston Celtics managing partner Wyc Grousbeck and president of basketball operations Brad Stevens acknowledged that they were made aware of Udoka’s actions “over the summer” and promptly engaged an external law firm to conduct “a comprehensive and unbiased investigation,” which concluded on Wednesday.
The Celtics did not confirm whether Udoka would resume his coaching duties after the suspension.
