## Man Found Dead in Prison After Facing Life Sentence for Killing LSU Basketball Player Wayde Sims
Recently, the individual who was convicted of fatally shooting LSU basketball star Wayde Sims in 2018 had just received a life sentence for the crime.
Dyteon Simpson’s sentencing was on July 7th, following a guilty verdict of second-degree murder, which in Louisiana carries an automatic life imprisonment term.
Tragically, Simpson was discovered deceased in his prison cell and will not be serving his life sentence.
Authorities have disclosed that an autopsy will be performed by the coroner’s office to establish the exact cause of death, with investigators also considering the potential involvement of contraband.
