Miles Bridges, the professional basketball player, might face legal consequences following recent accusations of domestic violence made by his wife, Michelle Johnson.

The Charlotte Hornets forward was arrested in Los Angeles this week on charges of felony domestic violence, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department to ESPN.

Reports state that an altercation between Bridges and an unidentified woman, who required medical attention afterwards, turned physical on Tuesday. Bridges surrendered to authorities and was subsequently released on bail set at $130,000.

Johnson, in a candid Instagram post, shed light on the alleged abuse she endured in her marriage with Bridges, stating, “I can’t stay silent any longer. Someone has destroyed my home, subjected me to various forms of abuse, and traumatized our children. I refuse to let this person get away with such horrific actions and misrepresent who I am.”

Expressing her concern for her children who witnessed the incidents, Johnson detailed a list of injuries she reportedly suffered, including a fractured nose, a wrist injury, a torn eardrum, neck muscle injuries from choking, and a severe concussion. She emphasized the need for the alleged perpetrator to seek help for the sake of their children.

Bridges, who has played for the Charlotte Hornets for the past four years since being drafted 12th overall in the 2018 NBA draft, began his career with the team after being acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers.

The exposure of the abuse allegations by Miles Bridges’ wife has sparked conversations and concerns regarding the severity of the situation. The family’s privacy is being urged to be respected during this challenging time, and Johnson’s plea is for the truth to be acknowledged and for the alleged abuser to receive the necessary assistance.
