In the closing moments of Saturday’s game, Sanders’ son Shedeur delivered a crucial touchdown pass, propelling Jackson State to a 21-17 lead over Southern. Following the pivotal play, Shedeur shared a heartfelt embrace with his father in a touching display.
Expressing his pride, Sanders tweeted Saturday night: “I’m so proud of our young men for tonight’s comeback win. This was right after Shedeur Sanders threw the game-winning touchdown to Malachi Wideman with under 2 minutes left. I love y’all and I BELIEVE!”
