The Florida Gators have made a significant announcement by offering a scholarship to eighth-grade quarterback Julian Lewis, creating a buzz in the sports world.

“It was a big moment,” expressed Lewis in an interview with 247Sports. “I feel blessed and really happy right now.”

Lewis shared, “Florida has had some great quarterbacks in the past. I know many of them personally like Emory Jones and Carlos Del Rio. Chief Borders and other players there are also close to me.”

Despite being years away from high school graduation in 2026, this middle schooler stands tall at 5-foot-11, weighing 175 pounds, and showcases impressive skills for his age.

The head coach, Mullen, made a strong impact on Lewis by expressing his interest after reviewing his performance footage.

“Florida is a top-notch academic institution,” commented Lewis’s father TC Lewis. “Their success in developing quarterbacks and the coaching staff are unparalleled. This is an incredible opportunity.”
