Henry Ramos is experiencing a memorable stretch in his career lately.
He grabbed the spotlight when, during a game on Friday playing for the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Diamondbacks, Ramos blasted a two-run homer in the seventh inning and sparked a heated brawl while exchanging words with opponents as he circled the bases.
The tension peaked when Rainiers shortstop Donovan Walton chased after Ramos near third base.
On Sunday, Ramos received a call-up to the majors after spending 11 seasons in various levels of minor league baseball without a shot at the big leagues.
During the weekend, he notched his first MLB hit:
A truly remarkable achievement.
