The NFL has revealed its plans for a return to London this coming October.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady will kick off the season on 9 September aiming for an eighth Super Bowl win. London will then see its first game on 10 October, featuring the Atlanta Falcons taking on the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The following week, the Jacksonville Jaguars will face off against the Miami Dolphins on the same turf. This match will mark the debut for rookies Trevor Lawrence (Jaguars) and Zach Wilson (Jets), with the Jaguars and Falcons playing as home teams during their time in London.
The start of the upcoming season is historic as the kick-off game will be held where Brady’s Buccaneers clinched the last Super Bowl victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, securing their place in NFL history as the first team to win the Super Bowl in their home stadium.
On 3 October, Brady will return to New England to take on his former team, the Patriots. Shortly after, the NFL will make its first appearance in the UK since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
