Bryce Harper assured everyone that he was okay after exiting Wednesday night’s game against the Cardinals due to a close call with a pitch thrown by reliever Genesis Cabrera.

While Harper sustained a bloody injury on the left side of his nose, he managed to walk off the field on his own during the sixth inning.

In a video he shared on social media after Philadelphia’s 5-3 victory, Harper confirmed that his scans showed no major issues.

“Everything feels good,” he mentioned. “Everything came back good — CT, all that kind of stuff. So, face is still there. We’re all good. See you guys soon.”

Following the incident, Cabrera accidentally hit the next batter, Didi Gregorius, prompting the umpire to issue warnings to both teams. Phillies manager Joe Girardi protested the decision and was ejected from the game.

Cabrera expressed regret for hitting Harper and attributed it to his pitching mechanics, stating that he was “overthrowing and that’s why I missed the pitches.”
