Delonte West faced challenging times due to his struggles with bipolar disorder and substance abuse, leading to homelessness. However, a pivotal moment came when Mavericks owner Mark Cuban intervened, rescuing him from the streets and taking him to a rehab center in Florida.

Months later, West’s progress is truly inspiring as he not only thrives in rehab but also secures a job at the same facility that aided in his recovery. This heartening update was shared by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

In a separate development, West was even seen back on the basketball court in November, signaling a positive step towards improvement.

Throughout his NBA career playing for teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Seattle SuperSonics, and Boston Celtics, West showcased his skills, averaging 9.7 points and 3.6 assists per game. His last NBA season was with the Mavericks in 2011-12.
