The Houston Texans made a move to replace a former Patriots coach with another individual from the same franchise, a decision that seems to have upset Deshaun Watson.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans have finalized an agreement with Nick Caserio to be their next general manager.
Shortly after the announcement, Deshaun Watson took to Twitter with what seems to be a negative response:
There is speculation on social media that Watson’s tweet might actually relate to the decision not to charge any officers in the Jacob Blake shooting, which was also disclosed on the same day.
His comment could have been poorly timed in conjunction with the news of his team appointing a new GM.
