Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams of Boston University donned masks during their matches against Holy Cross on Monday due to the COVID-19 regulations set by the school.
Despite this unusual requirement, the players from Boston University seemed unfazed as they secured a victory with a score of 83-76.
The policy even extended to the opponents, with Holy Cross players also mandated to wear masks during the games held on Boston University’s campus.
The upcoming game on Tuesday is anticipated to be the first men’s college basketball match this season where both teams will be wearing masks while playing.
With the Patriot League canceling non-conference games for this season, the matches on Monday marked the first official games for both universities.
