Jake Paul, who already had a big ego, had his confidence soar even higher after defeating Nate Robinson in the second round of the Tyson-Jones undercard match on Saturday night.
Following his impressive win, the YouTube star directly targeted Conor McGregor after his knockout victory over Nate Robinson.
“I’ve been dedicating myself to training hard for the past year,” mentioned Paul. “I’m taking this seriously. I have a list of opponents I’m eager to face.
“Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis: I’m confident I can knock them both out. There’s my brother [Logan Paul], Austin McBroom.
“I aim to have a long-lasting career in this sport. I have a passion for it. Why not?”
Paul envisions his climb to fame in combat sports to eventually parallel that of legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather.
“My career objective was exactly what I accomplished,” declared Paul at the post-fight press conference of Tyson vs. Jones Jr. “To have an undeniable win and steal the spotlight. To show the boxing world, which has questioned me for the past six months, that I’m a professional boxer and here to stay.
“When those 10-ounce gloves are on me, I’m ferocious, I can pack a punch. I’m a real fighter. When those MMA fighters step into the ring, they’ll face ‘The Problem Child.’ They’ll face me. And I’m here to earn millions and attract millions of pay-per-view viewers, becoming one of the biggest stars. I might just be the next Floyd.”
