Mike Tyson faced unexpected opposition after his recent exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr., not in the ring but outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
According to a report by TMZ Sports, a fan verbally confronted Tyson while he was signing autographs post-fight, and then attempted to physically strike the former heavyweight champion.
Witnesses stated that the individual even appeared to make a move towards his waistband, hinting at possibly retrieving a weapon, prompting Tyson’s team to intervene swiftly to diffuse the situation.
Tyson’s team recognized the individual from a previous incident involving similar behavior at another event, TMZ mentioned. Although police were called to the location, by the time they arrived, all parties had already departed, preventing any official report from being filed.
