Maria Taylor has been making headlines recently, particularly after a radio host faced repercussions for baselessly criticizing her choice of attire.

This time, the ESPN personality went on Twitter to reveal a text message she received that berated her, Black Lives Matter, and endorsed Jake Fromm.

In June, Buffalo Bills’ rookie quarterback, Jake Fromm, issued a public apology following the surfacing of screenshots showing a text conversation where he suggested that only “elite white people” should have access to purchasing guns. This incident was alluded to in the recent message directed at Maria Taylor.

In the text, Fromm stated, “But no guns are good. They need to let me get suppressors” and proceeded with, “Just make them very expensive so only elite white people can get them.”

Fromm later took to Twitter to express his regret:

“I am extremely sorry for using the term ‘elite white person’ in a text conversation. Despite not intending to portray myself as an ‘elite white person,’ as clarified in the conversation, there is no justification for my choice of words and the sentiment expressed.”
