Jets Confirm No Positive Coronavirus Cases

Titans report positive tests bringing the number of the team’s COVID-struck players up to 23.

The Jets team has received negative results for all COVID-19 tests, allowing them to proceed with their game against the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. This news comes amidst concerns following a significant outbreak in the Titans team, where the total confirmed cases have reached 23.

The Jets made the announcement on their social media platform after closing their training facilities on Friday due to a presumptive positive test:

“We are pleased to report that all players, coaches, and staff have tested negative for COVID-19 in the recent PCR tests. Following a cautious approach due to a potential positive case, we promptly sent everyone home this morning.

“We have implemented all necessary NFL protocols, including isolating players, conducting additional tests, and tracing contacts. Our priority remains the health and safety of our team, and we will diligently adhere to the established health guidelines.

“We are eager to face the Arizona Cardinals in our upcoming game on Sunday.”

In a similar incident, Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions also experienced a false-positive result. There have been 60 cases reported where one individual tested positive but no further spread occurred.
