This Thursday’s football game may not seem exciting at first glance, but sparks are expected to fly between the two quarterbacks on the field.
It’s a face-off between Gardner Minshew and Ryan Fitzpatrick, also known as Minshew Mania and Fitzmagic.
The battle of facial hair styles hasn’t gone unnoticed by the quarterbacks, as they traded playful jabs.
In a light-hearted exchange, Fitzpatrick stated, “The mustache versus the beard, I think the beard is a cooler look,” adding, “I think guys that grow mustaches often have patchy sides for their beards, so they just stick with the mustache.”
Despite Fitzpatrick’s remarks, the 24-year-old Minshew responded confidently, “I think I’ve shown I can grow a beard with no patchy sides,” adding humorously, “You know, I have a lot of respect for my elders … especially when they’re much older.”
