Vegas Dave is all about making money and showing up those who strongly dislike him.

This week, Vegas Dave gave his haters more reasons to resent him as he sold a rare autographed rookie card of Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout for a whopping $3.93 million at an auction.

The previous highest-selling trading card was the T206 Honus Wagner card, bought for $3.12 million in September 2016.

Vegas Dave, also known as “Vegas Dave,” initially bought the card in 2018 for $400,000 from an eBay seller in Taiwan.

“Many had negative things to say, calling me crazy. They said I could have invested in other things. That I was foolish to spend money on a mere piece of cardboard,” stated Dave to Reuters.

“Mike Trout is the best modern baseball player of our time. We may never witness another player like him. It’s also about supply and demand. There is only one in existence, and the baseball card market is currently thriving,” Oancea remarked.

After the news broke, Dave didn’t miss the chance to gloat and taunt his critics:

“4 million dollars. I just flipped a piece of cardboard for 3.6 million dollars in 24 months which required no manual labor. That’s more money than each of my critics will ever make working a 9-5 for 40 hours a week for 40 years for a boss they don’t like even like.Cheers haters”
