The UFC President, Dana White, addressed the recent incident at a San Antonio bar where a shooter claimed to be a UFC fighter from California. Despite the incident, local authorities have not yet identified the suspect or made any arrests.
The shooter, who was denied entry to the bar, proceeded to open fire outside, injuring eight people. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus mentioned that the shooter proclaimed himself as a UFC fighter from California before retrieving a rifle from his car and firing at the victims.
McManus stated, “He hit eight individuals, all of whom took themselves to local hospitals.”
During the UFC on ESPN 10 post-fight press conference, White expressed his shock at the situation, calling it unbelievable. He emphasized the chaotic nature of the world today and expressed hope that the claim made by the shooter is not true.
