Floyd Mayweather faced challenges in 2020 with the loss of the mother of his children and his uncle.
In March, Josie Harris, the mother of Floyd Mayweather’s 3 children, was discovered deceased in her parked vehicle in Valencia, California. It was later determined that her death resulted from an accidental overdose involving fentanyl and Xanax, as reported by The Blast.
According to official reports, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed that Josie, aged 40, passed away due to “MIXED DRUG TOXICITY (FENTANYL, ALPRAZOLAM).”
At the time of her death, Josie was preparing for a trial against Floyd in a $20 million lawsuit. The trial date was set for December 7, 2020.
In 2015, Harris sued Mayweather for $20 million, alleging that he lied about her in an interview with Katie Couric. In the interview, Mayweather claimed that Harris was under the influence of drugs during a domestic violence incident in 2010, resulting in Mayweather serving a two-month sentence for the incident.
Josie Harris and Mayweather were in a relationship from 1995 to 2010.
