Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James recently drew attention to a video showing a woman engaging in fake activism by pretending to help for the sake of Instagram photos.
In the video, the woman poses with a construction worker, hands back his power tool, and thanks him before leaving. Subsequently, the woman and her boyfriend quickly leave in a black Mercedes-Benz parked in a red zone, while a bystander sarcastically yells, “Good job, you guys! BLM!”
The woman in the video has been identified as Fiona Moriarty-McLaughlin, who has been terminated from her job after the Washington Examiner fired her, as reported by Daily Mail.
“The Washington Examiner fired a conservative journalist after she posted a picture of herself online posing with a power drill outside a boarded-up business in Los Angeles amid the George Floyd protests. A spokesperson for the Examiner confirmed that Moriarity-McLaughlin was let go when DailyMail.com reached out.”
Fiona Moriarty-McLaughlin has subsequently deleted all her social media accounts.
