In today’s age of social media, there exists a phenomenon known as ‘influencers’ who go to great lengths to garner likes by showcasing a lavish lifestyle.
A recent incident surfaced on social media where a video depicted a woman posing with a drill, capturing photos as if she were actively aiding a community affected by looting during protests.
Many online users expressed outrage at the woman’s apparent insincerity in assisting solely for the sake of a photo opportunity. To make matters worse, she swiftly departed in a black Mercedes-Benz parked in a red zone exclaiming, “Good job, you guys! BLM!”
LeBron James also viewed the video and criticized the woman through a series of emojis.
The woman was later identified by New York Times journalist Taylor Lorenz as Fiona Moriarty-McLaughlin, an intern at the Washington Examiner.
