Antonio Brown’s chances of being signed for the 2020 NFL season appear slim due to the latest legal developments.

According to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN on Friday, the former NFL wide receiver has been officially charged by the state of Florida with three accusations related to an alleged assault incident that occurred in January. These charges include felony burglary conveyance, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor criminal mischief, as per a Broward County court document obtained by ESPN.

The incident involved a delivery truck driver claiming that Brown and his trainer assaulted him while he was delivering Brown’s belongings from California. The misdemeanor battery charge alleges that Brown intentionally struck the driver against his will. There’s a possibility that the state might offer Brown a plea deal to resolve the case.

Brown, who is currently agent-less, is also waiting for the NFL to conclude its investigation into sexual assault allegations against him.

The 31-year-old had a brief stint with the New England Patriots in 2019, appearing in just one game and recording four receptions for 56 yards and one touchdown before his departure from the team after eleven days.
