Rudy Gobert has been at the center of attention recently, not only because he was the first prominent athlete in the USA to test positive for the coronavirus, but also due to his behavior leading up to his diagnosis, which seemed to indicate a lack of seriousness about the situation.

The French player has since issued an apology for his actions, but faced further criticism when it was revealed that an elementary school student who had tested positive for the virus had received an autograph from Gobert.

Tony Durant, the brother of NBA star Kevin Durant, took to Instagram to share his strong opinions about Gobert’s actions, referring to the Jazz center as a “dumbass”.

Tony Durant’s post read: “Dumbass kept playing and sh*t he knew he had that sh*t.”

Following these events, the NBA season has been put on hold and two more players have tested positive for COVID-19 – Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz and Christian Wood of the Detroit Pistons, who recently competed against Gobert.
