Alberto Salazar, a prominent Olympic coach, has been banned from coaching for four years as confirmed by the US Anti-Doping Agency on Monday. The 61-year-old coach has worked with elite athletes like Mo Farah and Galen Rupp.
The USADA found Salazar guilty of providing athletes with banned substances, obstructing the anti-doping control process, and engaging in testosterone trafficking.
No athletes have been directly linked to Salazar’s misconduct. However, several athletes were involved in the investigation.
This decision follows a two-year legal battle but Salazar has expressed his intention to appeal the ruling.
