Case Keenum Traded from Broncos to Redskins in Exchange for Draft Pick

Quarterback Case Keenum has been traded by the Denver Broncos to the Washington Redskins along with a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In return, Washington has sent a sixth-round pick in the same draft to the Broncos.

Keenum joined the Broncos in 2018 following his success in leading the Vikings to the NFC Championship game the previous season. During his time as Denver’s starting quarterback, Keenum achieved nearly 4,000 passing yards. Despite throwing 18 touchdowns, the 31-year-old also had 15 interceptions, contributing to the team’s disappointing 6-10 season.

Following the season, the Broncos made changes by replacing head coach Vance Joseph with Vic Fangio. This trade involving Keenum comes shortly after the Broncos had already agreed to acquire quarterback Joe Flacco from the Ravens.
