It’s no secret that the SEC dominates the recruiting class rankings. With 116 ESPN 300 commitments, the conference is leading the Power 5. The closest competitor, the Big Ten, has 53 ESPN 300 commitments. Teams like Alabama are driving this dominance with their outstanding recruiting efforts.

The majority of SEC teams are excelling in recruitment. The top 3 teams in the class rankings belong to the SEC, with 13 out of 14 teams ranked in the top 50. As we approach national signing day on February 6th, here’s a look at how SEC teams are shaping up.

Alabama tops the recruiting class rankings. After finishing 6th in 2018, Nick Saban and his team have come back strong this year. Their recruitment efforts have set them apart and made them the team to beat. It’s becoming increasingly difficult for other teams to compete with them and knock them off the top spot.

Saban and his staff have secured 25 ESPN 300 commitments, only two fewer than the entire Big 12 conference. What’s even more impressive is that 12 out of the 25 commitments are in the top 100 ranks, showcasing the elite talent Alabama is bringing in on both offense and defense. By stocking up on top-tier talent, Alabama is ensuring they stay ahead of the competition and maintain their high level of performance.
