Klay Thompson achieved a remarkable feat on Monday by sinking 10 3-pointers in a row, tying an NBA record. He made all his shots count, contributing to a total of 44 points as the Golden State Warriors dominated the Los Angeles Lakers with a final score of 130-111.

Notably, Thompson also equaled the record for most consecutive 3-pointers to start a game before missing his eleventh attempt, leading to his exit from the game with the Warriors comfortably ahead. His exceptional performance, especially in the third quarter, left the Staples Center crowd awestruck as he effortlessly shot from long range, finishing 8 for 9 from the field.

Thompson achieved this incredible feat in just 27 minutes, showcasing his peak basketball form after a slow start to the season. He has been performing exceptionally well in recent months, averaging 24.6 points in eight games this month alone.

This jaw-dropping 3-point display on Monday mirrored Thompson’s record-breaking performance on the 29th, where he scored 52 points in a 149-124 victory over the Chicago Bulls by sinking an NBA-record 14 3-pointers in just 27 minutes. His shooting prowess, going 18-for-29 from the field and 14-for-24 from beyond the arc in that game, makes his achievement against the Lakers even more impressive.

Monday’s game marked the fifth time in Thompson’s career, including this latest performance, that he made 10 or more 3-pointers in a game and the 13th time he scored 40 or more points. The Warriors’ victory extends their winning streak to eight games, solidifying their position as one of the top teams this season.
