Serena Williams, a dominant force in women’s tennis, played a swift match under two hours at the Australian Open. She spent just 49 minutes on the court during her first-round victory over Tatjana Maria and then swiftly defeated Eugenie Bouchard in 70 minutes with a score of 6-2, 6-2.

In the second round against Bouchard, which took place on Thursday night, Williams showcased her prowess. So far in the tournament, the seven-time Australian Open champion has only faced three break points, maintained an 81% first-serve percentage, and has not dropped a set.

Following her match, Simona Halep, the current world No. 1 tennis player, discussed the challenges of a grueling two-plus-hour match involving three sets. In contrast, Williams spent little time discussing tennis during her post-match interviews, focusing more on business matters and spending time with her daughter.

Williams mentioned that she was initially preoccupied with her brand’s emails but decided to play the match and prioritize spending time with her daughter, even if it meant missing dinner. During the press conference, she also talked about her management style and how motherhood has taught her to delegate tasks effectively.
