Carmelo Anthony is officially a Houston Rocket now, and this merely bring an uncomplicated conclusion, and that is he is finally reunited with his former coach in New York, Mike D’Antoni. The apprentice and the mentor have reportedly butted heads in the Big Apple and time heals all wounds.
Melo’s southern stay may pick up that blister which was their previous relationship. The reason is that the Rockets may bring Anthony off the bench, this is again something he was externally allergic to the Thunder in the last season.
There has not been a lot of changes ever since Melo came onboard. This week on Monday, Mike was crystal clear about where Anthony will get fit into the system.
Tim MacMahon tweeted “Mike D’Antoni is leaving it open on whether Melo starts or comes off the bench: “We’ll see how it fits. I don’t know how they play together; they fit together.”
By the looks of it, things are entirely different from what they used to be back in New York. For Instance, Carmelo is quite willing to consider coming off from the bench for the Houston Rockets. MacMahon said “Carmelo Anthony, pushed on bench possibility: “Whatever I have to do to help this team win a championship, that’s what’s going to be done.”
D’Antoni won’t need to walk on the eggshells regarding the decision of whether they should start him out or not. It seems that money has got his back at this time.
