Back in 2017, Terrelle Pryor wowed onlookers with his Instagram highlights and impressive one-handed catches during practice. However, his current performance is a far cry from those days. Pryor, who signed a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Redskins last season, is now set to join the Jets later this summer.
In 2017, Pryor inked an $8 million deal with the Redskins but then suffered an ankle injury early in the season. He only managed 20 receptions for 240 yards and two touchdowns before parting ways with the team in November due to his lackluster performance.
Now, Pryor may face a less-than-friendly reception as Zach Brown has indicated a hostile welcome awaits the former Redskins player. Brown warned that Pryor should expect some rough treatment from his teammates, emphasizing that the team will push him to his limits during practices. Brown also cautioned that without former coach Jay Gruden to shield him, Pryor may find himself in a tough spot.
Despite showcasing his athleticism during practices, Pryor has often struggled to translate that into game-time success. With a history of short stints with various teams, Pryor has yet to make a lasting impact. Brown highlighted that Pryor’s actions from last year have not been forgotten by the players, hinting that he may face retaliation on the field during Jets training.
According to reports, the Jets will be heading to the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond for training sessions scheduled from August 12th to August 14th.
