In a recent game, the Ed Carpenter has reclaimed the title of being the fastest man in the Indianapolis. He made this record on Sunday for the third time in his career. A butler graduate and the local hero has won the pole for the Indianapolis 500. The last remaining driver in the Verizon IndyCar series has thrilled the Indianapolis Motor Speedway crowd by turning the only 230mph lap of the weekend. He made a sensational 230.088 on the first lap of his four-lap qualifying efforts which not made IMS faithful but it also brought everyone to surprise.
In the first lap itself, he gained the confidence. He mentioned that Carpenter who clocked the 229.618 average over the four laps. During the race, there was some sort of noise inside the car because he was completely unknown of the fact that he was going to see either. He added that it is going to put everything in a position for the next few weeks. Carpenter has shown something special on every Pole Day. Since the year 2013 he has always been in the front rows as well as he has left the IMS with a spot.
Ed’s got something good going here said the Team Penske’s Will Power (228.761) who is going to start from the outside of Row 1. Power mentioned in a statement he has trimmed his car as much as he can before the qualifying run. But there was no any way to go with the speeds that Ed does. It was something next to impossible.
There is another man joining Carpenter and Power on Row 1 i.e. Penske’s Simon Pagenaud who has also hinted that there will be a special connection with the IMS in the recent years.
