Patriots DL Danny Shelton expects to make his team win at 335 pounds this season

The New England Patriots team does not have a culture which is meant for any player. There have been several players who join the team only to discover that the work and the expectation levels which go into playing for a Super Bowl team is not meant for them. And, many players such as Danny Amendola and Nate Solder have left the team and said many times how difficult it was for them to wear the Patriots uniform and play each day.

There stays a reason why just 31 teams win the Super Bowl each year and if there were many more teams like the Patriots and approached the game in the way of winning it, and then New England would not have won five Vince Lombardi till date.

The one team which can be said as the polar opposite of the New England in all these years is the Cleveland Browns. In the last three years, the Browns have won four games while the Patriots have won four games in the last season alone. His timeline is instructive as it represents Danny Shelton’s career arc.

Now, after becoming a part of the Patriots, Shelton is hoping to make a stark difference between how the Browns work and what the Patriots does to stay at a top position. Well, what is the major difference between the two teams? It is how much the running program asks of you, said Sheldon while he spoke to the press on Thursday.

The Patriots expect all of its players to stay in the right shape. Sheldon weighed 335 pounds when he started the league and hence, calls it his playing weight. But Sheldon is not running away from his work and is enjoying it as much by saying, “I know that my body will be more trained for that endurance and trained for the fourth quarter, overtime. I’m excited for the rest of the year.”
