With less than ten days left in the regular season, the NBA is barrelling towards the playoffs. The two teams at the top position are set in their playoff seeding while the other teams are still fighting it out to know whether they will be having any home court advantage in the first round or not.

One of the four top-seeded teams that have secured a position for heading into the playoffs is the Golden State Warriors. However, the Warriors went 2-2 against the competition that they should have beat in this last week, due mainly because of late-season injuries and ejections. While the defending champions are still a favorite team to win it all, their recent play in the games has left few doubts about their chances of staying.

The surprise team continues to be the Indiana Pacers in the East. The Paul George trade left many people to believe that the Pacers would miss the playoffs, but the team somehow managed to defy all of the odds. Indiana currently stands at fifth position in the East but the team’s recent 3-0 stretch in the last week may vault the Pacers to the third position probably by the end of the season.

On the other hand, it has not been a great week for the former Longhorn Kevin Durant as well as the Warriors. Durant has struggled with injuries due to which he had to miss six prior games before the last Thursday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks with a fractured rib. But Durant’s problems do not end with just the injuries.

The All-Star was ejected from the game against the Bucks just after 14 minutes of the play which marks his fifth ejection of the season. Still, Durant has averaged 10.5 rebounds, 28 points, and 6.5 assists in the entire two games this past week.
