Clippers traded Blake Griffin to the Pistons

Last summer, Blake Griffin and the Clippers signed a contract worth $173 million for five years. During the 2017 free agency period, the Clipper’s presentation had made it clear that Griffin will stay with the Clipper for a long time. But it looks like the things have been changed. In Tuesday a shocking trade announcement came to the front which informed that the Clippers sent Griffin, Brice Johnson, and Willie Reed to the Pistons for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, a protected first-round draft pick and a second-round pick. As per the report, the LA Clippers have been traded All-Star forward Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons.

As per the report, the Clippers are still pursuing young players and selects some players for trade for Lou Williams and DeAndre Jordan. Well, this type of changes can affect the gameplay of the team, so the organization asked the team to stay competitive and avoid the tanking route.

The river had managed to keep the Clippers tighter after losing Chris Paul and some players due to their injuries and also tried to keep the performance steady of Williams and Jordan.

Rivers said “I love this team and I like what we’re doing,” Rivers said (via The Ringer). “We’ve got major obstacles, and if we can somehow get through it, I think we’re going to be really good.”

Right now, the Lakers have Brook Lopez’s $22 million expiring contract. But they don’t look like to take a serious look at Griffin. The Lakers already traded their 2018 first-round pick.

Griffin deserves a lot of credit for cornering 34 percent from deep on almost six attempts per game. Till now it is his career’s high attempts. If all things go well, then he will have launched more 3s this season.

Griffin has made all the changes to adopt Jordan. He was a square peg who jammed himself into a round hole so hard he got stuck halfway deep.
