Chris Paul gets a classy farewell from Clippers and fans.

When Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets grabbed the ball in the opening seconds on Monday night at Staples Center, Clipper Nation shows their displeasure to him. It continued for a long time, and they booed them every time he touched the ball. For him, it was like a night of revenge upon the superstar who cut off the town. Well, the situation didn’t last for long and the situation changed with 6 minutes 46 seconds left in the first quarter. Something happened during that time which he had never imagined. The Clippers gave him a classy farewell.

They gave tribute to him through a video. The video included replays of the magic, and the stunning game plays that Paul has been offered during six seasons. Those six seasons has changed the history of the team. It shows some magnificent impossible passes of Paul, dancing through acrobatic dribbles, and making the one-legged bank shot which helped the team to beat San Antonio in Game 7 in the 2015 playoffs. The moments also supported by growing and cheers from the same folks who had just been flouting.

When asked about the video and farewell, Clippers coach Doc Rivers said that “Don’t get me started. … I have no comment, but I was proud of our crowd.”

“We knew this would be an emotional game,” Rivers said, but added it wasn’t all about Paul. “Chris was great for us, but Chris decided to leave us, so we don’t talk about him.”

On the other side, Paul was thinking to leave the team in his final year, and that’s why he wasn’t committed enough toward the game.

Reacting on this, Paul stated that, it is the culture of his team. Looking into the contribution of Paul for the team, he helped to give the team national credibility for the first time. Paul was the only person who brought the team on playoff radar for the first time. So, Paul got what he deserved, a memorable and classy farewell.
