Eighteen-year-old Karmelo Anthony has been indicted for the murder of Austin Metcalf, stemming from a stabbing that occurred during a Frisco ISD track meet.
According to eyewitness accounts, Anthony, who was 17 at the time, fatally stabbed Metcalf, also 17, following a conflict in the stadium’s bleachers.
Originating from Frisco, Texas, Anthony asserts that he acted in self-defense during the altercation that led to the tragic outcome. While police report that he acknowledged his involvement in the stabbing, they emphasized his claim of self-defense.
As Anthony prepares for his upcoming trial, he received an unexpected apology from a prominent commentator.
Charleston White, who once expressed skepticism about Karmelo Anthony’s innocence, has since retracted his initial stance after learning more about the circumstances surrounding the case.
In a recently circulated video, White extended his apologies to Anthony’s family, acknowledging the merit in their perspective.
“I want to take the time to apologize to Karmelo Anthony’s family. I was wrong about that kid.”
