Kelly Stafford, the spouse of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has openly discussed her recent “mommy makeover,” a term often used as a euphemism for plastic surgery.
The podcast host has taken the opportunity to candidly share the enhancements she made to her appearance following the birth of their four daughters: eight-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, six-year-old Hunter, and four-year-old Tyler.
After over a decade of marriage and three pregnancies, Kelly, a mother of four, felt it was time for some personal rejuvenation.
At 36, she was forthcoming about the procedures she underwent during a conversation with her plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, on a recent installment of her podcast, The Morning After.
Describing her first consultation with Dr. Fisher in 2021, one year after her youngest daughter was born, Kelly elaborated on the surgical choices she made.
“I had my boobs redone, and you also did the tummy tuck, and you put back together my abs,” she explained to Dr. Fisher.
She noted that the tummy tuck addressed not only her abs but also removed excess skin.
“A lot of people who live in California know what a tummy tuck is, but in my mind, when I was told tummy tuck, I was like, ‘That’s lipo, right?’” she admitted.
“I was thinking fat removal and then skin, and I remember being like, ‘Oh man, OK.’”
Reflecting on her decision, Kelly expressed relief that she opted for surgery at a younger age.
“You want to do it when you still have that urge to feel sexy,” she stated.
“I’m not saying at 18 years down the road I might not have a resurgence of that. But I also just think you’re older in age, and it gets tougher.”
This isn’t the first time Kelly has undergone significant surgery; she previously had a lengthy 12-hour operation in 2019 to remove a benign tumor from her brain.
Kelly Stafford Opens Up About Past Infidelity
In addition to her surgical journey, Kelly Stafford has been candid about some personal struggles in her relationship with Matthew, even revealing that she cheated on him during their college years.
While appearing on a podcast, she admitted to having an affair with Matthew’s backup quarterback while they were students at the University of Georgia. As a cheerleader, her goal to provoke jealousy led her to date the backup quarterback, and surprisingly, the tactic worked.
“At first, I hated him,” she shared on the ‘Off the Vine’ podcast. “I loved him (actually). I dated the backup (quarterback at UGA) to piss him off, which worked. He was the bad boy, too. Like, Matthew’s so sweet and Southern gentleman and all that stuff and the backup was the complete opposite. It upset him, which it worked thankfully.”
Fans speculated that the individual in question was Joe Cox, prompting Kelly to issue an apology.
