Trevon Diggs Sends Apology To Reporter After Heated Moment, Presents ‘Deez Nuts’ Gift

Trevon Diggs, the Pro Bowl cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, appears to have reconciled with WFAA reporter Mike Leslie. As a gesture of goodwill, Diggs presented Leslie with some “Deez Nuts” branded snacks to express his apology.

To recap the situation, Diggs had an angry exchange with Leslie after the Cowboys’ 30-24 defeat against the 49ers on Sunday night. The reporter had critiqued Diggs’s performance on a play where George Kittle recorded a significant catch-and-run.

The tension between the player and reporter escalated during the postgame interviews, with Diggs visibly upset by Leslie’s remarks.

Regarding the controversial play, it seems Diggs was not merely jogging, as he was strategically playing in anticipation of Kittle possibly cutting back.

Ultimately, it seems Leslie reflected on the incident and acknowledged that he might have misinterpreted Diggs’s actions.

Leslie stated, “What I interpreted as him jogging was in fact him slow-playing a potential cutback from George Kittle.”

On Wednesday, Diggs and Leslie met to clear the air, both issuing apologies. In a lighthearted moment, the 26-year-old cornerback also gave Leslie some nuts, and the two were photographed smiling together.

This humorous gift was a response to Diggs’ earlier outburst where he exclaimed, “You don’t know football, you can’t do nothing that I do… Talk about deez nuts!”

Now that the two have reconciled, Diggs will redirect his focus to the upcoming game.

The Cowboys are set to face the Atlanta Falcons (5-3) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 pm ET.
