Hunter caught nine of his 10 passes, accumulating 79 yards and securing a touchdown. He was also impactful on defense, tallying a tackle and an interception. As UCF sought to mount a comeback, Hunter intercepted a pass from Golden Knights quarterback K.J. Jefferson in a pivotal moment during the second half before striking the Heisman Trophy pose in the end zone.

The defense played a crucial role as well, limiting UCF’s explosive rushing attack to just 177 yards. Colorado’s defensive line was particularly dominant, recording five sacks against Knights QB K.J. Jefferson and consistently putting him in challenging situations throughout the game.
