NBA athlete Jeremy Sochan was involved in a car accident involving his Porsche on a Texas highway last Saturday, as reported by TMZ. According to the police report, the crash occurred at the intersection of I-10 and Loop 1604, where 21-year-old Sochan lost control of his vibrant green 2019 sports vehicle and skidded off the road.
The Texas Department of Transportation indicated that speeding was likely the reason for the mishap, but no charges were brought against him.
The report noted, “[Sochan] mentioned that he was driving southbound at that location when he lost control and crashed into the left guard rail/bridge.” It continued, “Emergency medical services were declined. TxDOT was informed about the damage. [Sochan’s] vehicle was the only one involved in the incident.”

A video showing the scene after the accident surfaced, with Sochan spotted on the roadside next to a police car parked by his green vehicle.
The damage to Sochan’s $240,000 car was extensive, but fortunately, he came out without any injuries and there were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
Sochan, a Polish-American who was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, has become an important player for the promising young San Antonio Spurs, which also features 2023 first overall pick Victor Wembanyama.
In the 2023-24 NBA season, Sochan averaged 11.6 points (43.8% shooting), along with 6.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in his second season.
