Amid an ongoing sign-stealing investigation involving the Michigan Wolverines, one of the team’s coaches has deleted his social media account.

The Wolverines are currently under scrutiny for sign-stealing, and head coach Jim Harbaugh is facing a suspension, having already sat out one game and set to miss two more. In yet another twist, it has been discovered that Steve Clinkscale, the team’s co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, has deleted his account.

Many fans find the timing of this action suspicious, with some taking to social media to express their thoughts. Jeremy Birmingham, an analyst for Ohio State, noted that it seems unusual for a high-ranking coaching staff member to delete his Twitter account a month before signing day and shared a screenshot of the deleted account.

Reactions on social media expressed similar sentiments, with some finding the situation particularly intriguing given Clinkscale’s position as the co-defensive coordinator and the defensive backs coach.

Clinkscale joined the Wolverines as a defensive backs coach in 2021 and was promoted to co-defensive coordinator before last season. Despite the curiosity and speculation surrounding the deleted account, he has offered no comment on the matter.

Michigan is set to play against Maryland this Saturday, with an upcoming highly-anticipated showdown against the Buckeyes on November 25.
