The rivalry between the Colorado State Rams and the Colorado Buffaloes continues to intensify as the Rams make moves to stoke the flames.
Earlier this week, Rams’ head coach Jay Norvell called out Buffaloes’ head coach Deion Sanders for consistently wearing his signature sunglasses.
In an effort to escalate the rivalry further, Colorado State wide receiver Louis Brown decided to mock Sanders by imitating his signature touchdown celebration after scoring a touchdown.
The video of Brown’s celebration went viral, adding more excitement to the already heated rivalry.
As the game progresses, it will be interesting to see how Sanders and the Buffaloes respond, especially after a rocky first half that ended with the Rams leading 21-14.
Sanders transitioned to Colorado after a successful three-year tenure at Jackson State, where he led the Tigers to back-to-back SWAC Championships in 2021 and 2022. He then accepted the Buffaloes’ lucrative offer to become their head coach.
In their season opener, the Buffaloes secured a 45-42 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs. They followed that up with a convincing 36-14 win against their longtime rival, the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
