The Steelers are now in their offseason after failing to reach the playoffs in 2022, but they did play hard down the stretch to finish the year above .500.

The team may now be ready to part ways with a veteran WR that was on the team.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Anthony Miller sent out a cryptic tweet this week that hints that his days might be numbered with the Steelers. Miller thanked Pittsburgh which is usually a precursor to a player being released.

Veteran WR Anthony Miller tweeted, “Thank You Pittsburgh” followed by a black heart.

His tweet is just pure speculation as the Steelers have not made anything official.

The Steelers signed Miller to the practice squad in October of 2021, and there was hope he could be part of the offense in 2022, However, he was placed on IR with a shoulder injury in August of last season. Despite this, the Steeler signed Miller to a one-year contract in January of 2023. He was expected to compete for time as a slot receiver in his third season with the team.

Miller, who will turn 29 this October, did not appear in a game last year for the Steelers. He caught one pass for two yards in a November game against the Bengals in 2021.

Prior to coming to Pittsburgh, Miller was a second-round pick of the Chicago Bears, where he appeared in 47 games. he racked up 134 receptions for 1,564 yards and 11 touchdowns over three seasons.

Now, fans are waiting for the news of his release and what it means for the wide receiver room.
