Following his departure from Manchester United, fans are eager to learn where Cristiano Ronaldo, one of soccer’s most famous players, will land next.

The football star will have to sit out for a couple of games after it was confirmed that he would be suspended for two matches and fined £50,000 for damaging a fan’s phone in a moment of anger at Goodison Park following a game against Everton in April.

In a video capturing the incident, Ronaldo, visibly upset, swats at a fan’s hand holding a recording device, causing the phone to shatter on the ground.

The English Football Association conducted a thorough investigation into the incident before announcing the penalty. Additionally, the police had looked into the matter, but Ronaldo was cleared of any legal charges after offering an apology and paying for a replacement phone.

Despite claiming he was worried about his safety at the time of the incident, Ronaldo’s explanation was met with skepticism.

Ronaldo extended an invitation to the fan to attend a Manchester United match. However, the justification of safety concerns did not convince many.

Currently in Qatar with the Portuguese national team for the World Cup preparations, Ronaldo’s suspension adds to the distractions as Portugal gears up for their tournament opener against Ghana. This suspension, coupled with his somewhat turbulent exit from Manchester United, presents another challenge for Portugal in their pursuit of a debut World Cup victory.
