Cristiano Ronaldo shocked the sports world by announcing heartbreaking news on social media. In a heartfelt message co-signed by the soccer star and partner Georgina Rodriguez, they revealed the passing of their baby boy.
“We sadly announce the loss of our baby boy,” the post expresses. “It is an unimaginable pain for any parent. Only the arrival of our baby girl gives us the strength to face this moment with some hope and joy.”
Last year, Ronaldo and Rodriguez revealed they were expecting twins but did not disclose a specific due date.
“We want to express our gratitude to the medical staff for their exceptional care and support,” Ronaldo’s post further states. “We are all engulfed by this tragedy and respectfully request privacy during this challenging time.”
Ronaldo, a player for Manchester United, has four other children. He and Rodriguez welcomed their first child together in 2017.
