Helen Peralta made a bold statement by staging a topless protest against Disney before her match with UFC vet Poliana Botelho at Invicta FC 49.
The MMA fighter, holding a 5-2 record, turned heads by appearing topless at the weigh-in, only covered by crisscrossed tape over her nipples. The tape bore the words ‘f–k Disney’ as she stood ready for the event.
In addition, the 34-year-old elaborated on her protest message via Twitter.
“If you don’t like it, you can return to your usual programming,” Peralta expressed.
“This is just a temporary disruption. If my actions offended you, I’m not apologetic. Visualize a pound of silicone beneath each breast and voilà, now I’m just … courageous. P.S. I am still here.”
The flyweight from the Dominican Republic holds a 5-2 career record and enters into Wednesday’s match against Poliana Botelho following consecutive victories.
