There are rumors swirling that Kylian Mbappe, the star player of Paris Saint Germain, is romantically involved with Ines Rau, who made history as the first transgender model to feature on the cover of Playboy.
According to the Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sports, Mbappe was spotted with Rau at the Cannes Film Festival and was later seen carrying her on a luxurious yacht.
At the age of 16, Ines underwent gender confirmation surgery and has since built a diverse career encompassing modeling, dancing, and DJing in Spain.
Ines was previously featured as Playboy magazine’s ‘Playmate of the Month’ in their November issue, marking her as the first openly transgender woman to receive this honor.
Her debut in Playboy dates back to 2014, and in 2017, she made history as the first transgender model to grace the cover. Despite facing criticism, Cooper Hefner, the son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, emphasized the importance of advocating for inclusivity and acceptance in a world that fosters positivity and openness.
Reflecting on her journey, Ines revealed in an interview with Playboy, via ETOnline: “I concealed my transgender identity for a long time. I dated extensively and almost forgot about it. I was apprehensive about never finding a partner and being deemed unconventional. Eventually, I came to the realization that I should embrace my true self. It is liberating to be honest about oneself, be it regarding gender or sexuality.”
She further expressed, “Those who shun you are not deserving of your attention. It’s not about seeking validation from others; it’s about self-acceptance and self-love.”
In a moment of reflection during her photoshoot, Ines shared, “I reminisced about the struggles I faced in my childhood. Today, all the positive developments bring me immense joy and contentment. The notion of being a Playmate – me? It’s the most wonderful compliment I’ve ever received. It feels like being handed a grand bouquet of roses.”
