Russell Westbrook’s social media activity hints at his feelings towards his current team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The star point guard, who has been the subject of trade speculation during the NBA offseason, drew attention when he liked and then unliked a tweet that appeared to criticize Lakers owner Jeanie Buss.

The tweet in question expressed dissatisfaction with the Lakers’ decisions following their championship win, particularly highlighting Buss’s comments about Michael Jordan. This tweet was originally posted by a Lakers fan account named “LakeShowYo.”

According to the fan account, Westbrook liked and then unliked the tweet.

Westbrook’s recent liked tweet from August 6 criticized the Lakers for not utilizing him effectively amidst ongoing trade rumors.

The tweet stated, “Brodie was getting into a rhythm dealing with all the injuries and lineup changes while not being used right and they want to trade him?”

Westbrook has been the subject of trade discussions involving various teams following a challenging first season with the Lakers.

Despite support from new head coach Darvin Ham, trade rumors persist. Talks of a three-team trade involving the Lakers, Knicks, and Jazz, which would have included Donovan Mitchell returning to New York, failed to materialize.

During the last season, the 33-year-old guard averaged 18.5 points in 78 games, marking his lowest performance since his second year in the league in 2009-10.
